a transient multiple media drawing installation
64 SQUARES © REVAD David Riley
A wall, a painted panel, a static programmable network connected studio camera, natural light enhanced and modified by led light, an led projector, paper, masking tape and marker pens. The led projector is driven by a Raspberry PI 3B+. The camera is a Raspberry PI 3B. Another Raspberry PI 3B is used as a file server. Animations and static projections courtesy of the GIMP, Processing and Python. Image finishing in the GIMP. All controlled from a Linux Mint laptop via VNC.
The intention is to use this space to build and record transient fusion wall installations. ‘Fusion’ in that there is a use of both real and virtual components and techniques. The final outcome of each exploration will be a photograph (as here) or a video.
This first outcome is called 64 SQUARES.
